Is your “IMPOSTER SYNDROME” being triggered while working (WFH) from home? ... Well you’re not alone🙏🏽 ⁣⁣⁣

Often when we are by ourselves our thoughts and fears can run wild. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Imposter Syndrome is driven by an interval fear that develops. A fear that makes you feel you’re not worthy of your position or your success. A fear that makes you feel like you’re going to constantly be exposed as a “fraud”. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The fear is triggered by different things and although there are “common triggers” amongst many of us - the new current world order of WFH is unearthing some new ones. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
STEP 1️⃣ to overcoming Imposter Syndrome is to speak about it.YOU ARE NOT ALONE approx 77% of the worlds population experiences this type of fear. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
STEP2️⃣ is to practice SELF VALIDATION ⁣⁣⁣ And whilst you’re at home this is a perfect goal for this week. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
How do you practice SELF VALIDATION? ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
👉🏽Write a list of everything you’ve accomplished in the last 3 years. Nothing is too big or too small - work, personal, sport, family, education, travel, home, charity - EVERYTHING YOU’VE accomplished🏅you’ll be amazed at what you’ve achieved ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
👉🏽Hang up or frame your certificates, diplomas, medals, awards, photos ANYTHING that makes you feel wonderful - IN SIGHT MEANS IN MIND 🧠 ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
👉🏽Create morning Affirmations and say them to yourself every.single.day- IN FACT write them down too and stick them up🙌🏽 On your computer 👨🏼‍💻 👩🏽‍💻 or your screen or your wall or your computer. ⁣⁣⁣

💫I am strong ⁣⁣⁣
💫I am smart ⁣⁣⁣
💫I am limitless ⁣⁣⁣

👉🏽Update your resume ⁣⁣⁣
Not because you’re changing jobs but because it’s a wonderful way to showcase your accomplishments. When we have to convey a message or write content that someone else will be reading (now or in future) we think deeper about the way we communicate the message. A resume is the perfect template for self validation 101👌🏽⁣⁣⁣

In tough times especially, we can change how we think and feel about something simply by REFRAMING how we look at it💫⁣⁣

If you’re being challenged ➡️Ask yourself how can this help me grow? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you’re frustrated ➡️ Ask yourself what is the easiest smallest thing you can get done now or off your plate? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you’re asked to do something you’ve never done before ➡️ ask yourself, who can I ask for help? Or how can I self educate myself and learn? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If your manager gives you a direction and you’re not sure why ➡️ Ask yourself, what might be happening in their day? Put yourself in their shoes for a moment and think about how you can help them⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When looking at this adversity you may be facing ask yourself ➡️What can I do differently to make sure I don’t feel this way again? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
At a time when you yourself need help ➡️ Ask yourself how you can you help others? When we give to others we are in fact making a positive impact on ourselves too🙌🏽⁣⁣
